This and That
I am so glad to be done classes. I had definitely had enough! All that's left is my four exams.
I just finished watching Van Helsing. I bought a DVD drive for my computer, so I can now watch movies in my room! The downside is my computer isn't exactly the newest technology, so depending on the movie, the quality varies. Anyways, I thought this was the worst movie ever made. It was horrible! I was so bored, and after 2 hours and 12 minutes, I wanted to shoot myself. I don't think the acting is very good and neither are the graphics. Maybe vampire movies just aren't my thing, but still. You cannot tell me that this is a quality movie!
The other movies that I've rented so far (yes, they're all older because they're cheaper at the video store) are, The Hunt for the Red October: I thought this was actually a pretty good movie. You can tell Americans made it though because they make the Russian government look completely incompetent. But Sean Connery does a really good job, and it was very entertaining. I rented White Chicks and watched that last night. It wasn't all that great. There's some "inappropriate" stuff in it, but it wasn't all that funny. I did laugh a bit though. I watched Black Hawk Down, which I thought was a really good movie. It's kind of scary to think of war in that sense though because it was fairly graphic. I have a friend going off to basic and so I think I got stuff out of the movie that normally people wouldn't think of. I also watched Little Nikki....not one of Adam Sandler's better movies, and his voice is crazy haha, but as always, there are some funny parts in it. Lastly, I rented The Forgotten. Terrible movie! There were waaay too many loopholes and the acting wasn't all that great. The emotions in that movie were severly lacking. If I found out all the things she found out and went through, I think I'd be a little more surprised and psychotic! So I was disappointed with that one.
So the only good ones were The Hunt for the Red October and Black Hawk Down.
On a totally different note, I was thinking earlier today about something the pastor said on Sunday at New Hope, which was that ALL sin is punishable by death (or something like that). That made me think of all the things that I (or we) do that we may think is just little, but the penalty is still death. I wonder if we all thought that way, how much less sin would occur. The only problem is thinking this before we commit any sinful act. "If I do this, is it worth dying for?" My whole thing is usually shoot first, ask questions later. Therefore, I react mostly before I reason. I don't know, I just thought it was something worthy to think about.

That is true that all sin is punishable by death but equally true that Christ's blood deals with every sin. It does make you think about your own actions though. It is amazing how often we react out of the flesh and say or do something hurtful. Try watching Chronicles of Narnia movie. If you like C.S. Lewis and the books you will probably like it.
